Police in Hampshire have made a fourth arrest following a violent incident at a Halloween party in Chandler's Ford that left five teenagers with stab wounds. The arrest comes as investigators continue to piece together the events of Saturday night, which have shocked the local community.

Incident Details

Officers were called to Park Road shortly after 22:30 GMT on Saturday, where an unknown group had gained entry to a supervised party by climbing over a garden fence. During the ensuing chaos, five boys were stabbed. One 17-year-old remains in hospital in a life-threatening condition, while the other four, who all suffered serious injuries, have since been discharged.

All five boys who were injured had been invited to the party, which was supervised, according to police.

Arrests and Investigation

A 16-year-old boy from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Police have been granted an additional 36 hours to question two other boys, aged 16 and 17, both from Southampton, who were arrested on Monday morning on suspicion of the same offence.

A 16-year-old boy from Bristol remains in custody after being arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Monday night.

Hampshire Constabulary said officers have carried out searches at three addresses linked to those arrested: two in Southampton and one in Bristol. Several items have been seized as part of the ongoing investigation.

Since the investigation began, a number of witnesses have come forward, and officers have spoken to many of them. Those who have already been in touch are asked to wait to be contacted.

Authorities are still urging anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing that even the smallest detail could be crucial to the inquiry.

Community Support

In the aftermath of the incident, two churches in Chandler's Ford have opened their doors to offer support to those affected. St Boniface on Hursley Road is open from 09:00 to 17:00 throughout the week, while St Martin in the Wood on Queen's Road will be open on Wednesday from 15:00 to 17:00.

The community remains on edge as police continue their investigation into this disturbing event.
